Fly to the Sky received a hearty welcome on the May 30th broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook' and reminded us why they make a great duo with their performances of "Missing You" and their new title track "You You You".
During the interview, MC Yoo Hee Yeol touched a sensitive topic and asked, "The two of you didn't disband, but you were apart for a long time. What was the real reason?" Brian clarified, "Even during that time, there were a lot of rumors circulating about us disbanding, but we never said with our own mouths that we will disband. We wanted to pursue our individual activities. Hwanhee wanted to take on acting and music, while I wanted to do music and musicals, so Fly to the Sky rested for a while."
Yoo Hee Yeol continued to probe the issue further, asking, "By the way you're stammering, this might be the reason why Fly to the Sky went their separate ways for a while: Brian always went around imitating Hwanhee. Please tell me honestly." Brian shared, "To be honest, that wasn't the reason for us separating." Hwanhee also shared how he felt about Brian's imitations, "At that time, we were promoting 'Like A Man' after 'Missing You', and we were singing a heartbreaking song. But a singer who passed by, Lee Hyori, told me that I'm so funny. Because Brian always imitated me, so Brian came to her mind when she saw me, so I told him seriously [not to imitate me]." Brian shared that he thought Hwanhee was joking at first so he kept doing it, but after Hwanhee called him on it again, Brian realized that he was being serious. Brian also revealed that he chooses not to do Hwanhee imitations anymore because he is afraid that he'll get wrinkles.
Brian also assured fans that Fly to the Sky will be together until the end, "We will now continue to do this together. It's not like we'll only promote as Fly to the Sky until we die. We will do our individual activities in between. But Fly to the Sky will never disband."
