A student at IU's fancafe created a post titled 'Jeju Island lulu lala' on the 15th. It read, "I'm on my way there on a boat on a school trip!!!! I'm so excited kekekeke. Everyone in Yooaena, have you been?!!! I'm on a boat right now, but of course I'm thinking about [IU]...?? ?? I can't help but keep thinking about her!!!! Now I have to sleep, so good night!!!!". The student also replied to other members by saying, "It takes 13 hours by boat, but we're having a lot of fun and we're enjoying fireworks, too, so it doesn't feel too long."

However, on the 16th, when news of the Sewol sinking hit Korea, all the members started to post replies in worry. Members begged the student to respond somehow if they were on the sunken ferry or if they were safe..
On the 18th, the member came back to the post and wrote, "Thankfully I was able to come out from the ferry and be rescued. Thank you for worrying about me. I'm only hurt a little bit. There are students still alive in the boat. Please pray they will be saved soon. Again, I'm okay. Thank you so much for worrying about me."
Amid all the worrying news from the ferry, it's relieving to finally hear from a survived student. We pray for all the families affected.
