Fans were surprised to know that he was acquainted with famous Japanese soccer player Kagawa Shinji. Seungri tweeted, "I want to introduce a friend today. Soccer player Kagawa Shinji. I met him two years ago through a friend, and we still contact each other today. Our free time conveniently matched up, so we were able to get dinner together this summer."

He added, "He told me about his stories in Europe and with Manchester United. The funny Kagawa asked me a lot of things about Big Bang too. As expected, he had a lot to ask because we're from different worlds!"
