Just as much as MBC's hit variety show 'Dad, Where Are You Going?' has been rising in popularity, there has been an increase in the amount of negative comments as well. This is to be expected as it seems to be inevitable that along with popularity and fame comes unjustified hate. However, rather than sitting back and accepting it as a fact of life, MBC has decided legal action is necessary as these comments are aimed toward children on the show, who can be easily scarred.
A MBC representative stated, "The production crew of 'Dad, Where Are You Going?' has decided that they can no longer stand still and observe Yoon Hoo's anti-cafe and other negative posts online and have decided to respond with legal action. The production crew and MBC's legal department have already completed their discussion on the appropriate legal actions."
"The negative comments towards the children have crossed the line and it has been determined as a serious issue. We will take strong measures against them."
Cyber-bullying is at an all-time high and very little is being done to stop it. Rather than just blocking comments from being written it is important to educate all users about appropriate behavior on the internet and create a positive culture that can be spread to all.
