Last month, JYJ held a two-day concert for their 'JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul' in the Olympic Stadium on November 27th and 28th. Maps International, the management company in charge of the concert, recently uploaded an official letter of apology onto Interpark's website for the unsatisfactory organization of the concert.
Representative Hwang Jong Wook wrote,
"Following the release of new tracks by the three membered JYJ, we wanted to hold a great concert for the Korean fans by installing a rooftop at the venue in order to block out wind or rain to preserve an unforgettable stage production and sound system."
"On the morning of November 27th, snow and hail unexpectedly came down and piled onto the rooftop and resulted in unforeseen circumstances of the marquee stretching downward. During the emergency meeting, we even thought of canceling the concert in consideration of safety measures. However, this was the first Korean concert for JYJ to meet their fans, and since we didn't want to disappoint both Korean and overseas fans, we took down the rooftop and decided to continue on with the concert."
"Because of the heavy winds that day, taking down the rooftop took longer than expected, and resulted in a delay in the seat settings, rehearsals and all other schedules, which is why the opening and the beginning of the concert were delayed."
"Due to the slippery roads and traffic that day, the assistant stage was unable to be installed for the 27th, which we feel very apologetic for. Venue regulations only allowed us to finish no later than 10 PM, and thus could not hold an encore performance, which we are also apologetic for."
"We promise to give you a perfectly prepared concert next time, and we want to give our gratitude and apologies to everyone who came to watch the concert even in the unexpectedly cold weather. Please support JYJ."
