With the ban of Chae Yeon's "Shake" MV from all the three top dogs, KBS, MBC, and SBS, many of us are left wondering, "How inappropriate could it be to have been banned from all three main programs.." Decide for yourself with the MV screencaps. But it was no surprise at all if you've seen the video. With its over-the-top sexified scenes, I'm actually surprised it wasn't banned the day the teaser was released. The main reason for the banning of the music video was the scene where Chae Yeon is lying on the bed striking a very amorous pose, while giving the ahjushees a pleasurable view down her shirt. In addition to that, the other no-brainer reasons were all that drinking, dancing, and making out. For goodness sakes, I know the company was just trying to use 'sexy' as a solid concept, but they should've known that there is a fine line between 'sexy' and 'trashy'. Although Chae Yeon was just trying to live up to her sexy star image, this just isn't the way. An official from Chae Yeon's company spoke out on this matter, saying that "because we want the video to air on broadcasting channels, we will be editing the music video. But because the length of the music video will be reduced, it will be hard to keep the same and original feel to it." With the unexpected leak of her album already under her belt, the ban of her music video has just made things worse for Chae Yeon. I feel bad for her, but she really should've seen this coming. Life isn't always rainbows and unicorns, especially when we're talking about those good-for-nothing netizens. Yeah that's right, I just dissed those netizens... eek, I'll be dead by tomorrow.
