Ajumma-favorite Bae Yong Joon has got serious money in the bank. I'm talking burning dollars for HEAT kind of money. At a seminar for Korean television and dramas in Mok-dong Seoul, a certain snitch Professor named Kim Jin-woong outted Bae Yong Joon's payroll. For his 2007 drama, "The Legend", he made an estimated 250 million won ($170,000) per episode. Bae Yong Joon is said to be the most expensive actor in Korea. There were reports that he made upwards of $20,000,000 a year during his prime (movies, dramas, syndication fees, merchandising, appearances, etc). The seminar was held by production companies and broadcasting stations whose concern was the rising problem of high-prices for high-profile actors. Amongst the other outted actors was (sexy) Song Seung Heon who made about 70 million won ($47,500 per episode) for "East of Eden", Kwon Sang Woo in "Bad Love" and Lee Young-jae in "Air City" both made roughly 50 million won ($34,000 per episode). PEANUTS compared to Bae! Hey, Yon-sama...we should hang out sometime--I've been looking for a Sugar-daddy. Even though you are damn near twice my age, I'm willing to overlook that... Just so long as you promise my safety from being gutted by Ajummas.
