Netflix unveils first look at 'When Life Gives You Tangerines', a period drama starring IU & Park Bo Gum

Netflix has unveiled the first glimpse of 'When Life Gives You Tangerines', coming on March 7. 

Written by by Lim Sang Choon of 'When The Camellias Bloom' and directed by Kim Won Suk of 'My Mister', 'When Live Gives You Tangerines' tells the story of Ae Sun, a rebellious Jeju native, and the naive but strong-built Gwan Sik, and their life on beautiful Jeju island. Singer/actress IU takes on the role of the lovely heroine Ae Sun, while Park Bo Gum plays the role of the reliable Gwan Sik. 

A teaser film for the series, released on January 22 EST, captures nostalgic scenes of Jeju island from a field of wildflowers, to an old-fashioned market, the vast blue ocean, and always together in each of these scenes, Ae Sun and Gwan Sik. Find out what happens to these Jeju islanders when the new series premieres worldwide on Netflix on March 7.
