EPEX released the pre-release single 'My Girl' from their second full-length album on the 14th through various online music platforms.
'My Girl' is a love song about the awkwardness of confessing feelings due to inexperience with love, but gathering the courage to do so. The track falls under the R&B hip-hop genre, showcasing EPEX’s sweet and honest storytelling and emotions. The groovy bassline and vibrant energy, paired with intense sounds, are key highlights of the song.
In the 'My Girl' music video, released simultaneously with the track, EPEX portrays the lively and witty aspects of youth in love. The group’s bright and refreshing chemistry adds to the excitement for global fans.
EPEX’s second full-length album, set to be released later this year, is the second chapter of their "Youth Trilogy" album series. With 'My Girl,' EPEX marks the beginning of this new chapter, raising anticipation for the unique storytelling and musicality that will unfold in the main album.
Earlier in April, EPEX released their debut full-length album 'Youth Book 1: The Days of Youth' and successfully promoted the title track 'To My Youth.' They have also completed their Asia tour 'So We Are Not Anxious' and their fan-con tour 'YOUTH DAYS.' Additionally, EPEX hosted their own show 'TEPPEN Talk' on Japan’s TBS podcast and is set to attend the fashion festival 'TGC teen 2024 Winter' in Tokyo this November, rounding off a busy year with both domestic and international activities.
