Recently, lawyer Seo Ah Ram shared an unforgettable experience with a prospective client who claimed to be involved in an affair with a well-known top male actor.
On the June 8th episode of JTBC's 'Knowing Brothers,' criminal lawyer Seo Ah Ram made a guest appearance with her colleagues. Lee Soo Geun asked her, "Have you had a dangerous moment while practicing criminal law?"
She replied, "I was overconfident thinking being a former prosecutor, I can tell a dangerous person apart from the ones who aren't. It actually happened pretty recently. One day, a mysterious woman came for the initial intake interview. She paid with cash, made the appointment under an alias, and came in wearing a mask and a hat. When she took the mask and hat off I was surprised because she was so beautiful looking, like an idol. She opened up saying she was having an affair with a famous married actor. I initially didn't question her claim because she indeed was gorgeous like a celebrity."
Seo Ah Ram continued, "She was in tears and told me that the actor gaslighted her to isolate her from her family and friends, had her quit her job, and even forced an abortion on her during their 3-year-long relationship. I started taking notes but then something didn't feel right. She started saying there were hidden messages in the latest drama series he was starring in. So I asked her if she had actually met him and then she said she had never met him in person. She claimed she and him are connected spiritually so they didn't have to physically meet with each other. I asked her about the abortion earlier and she said that she was pregnant because they were in love."
"She then suddenly turned to me and asked, 'Are you currently questioning me? Many people around me questioned me every time I told them my story and I tend to get really mad when that happens. I'm actually currently on probation after stabbing my mom.' I reassured her that I trusted her and listened to her story for an hour and then sent her back."
Seo Ah Ram replied to a question about how to handle people like her, "It would be better if I could explain potential ramifications such as they could get sued for stalking, etc., but the thing is, they don't listen. It's best to de-escalate and keep an eye out to minimize the damage."
The relevant segment starts around the 7:14 mark in the video above.
