YG Entertainment's Yang Hyun Suk has stepped in front of the camera once again to captivate audiences with an exclusive glimpse into BABYMONSTER's mini album.
In this video, the producer unveils the essence and significance of each musical gem adorning the upcoming debut album, 'BABYMONS7ER.' Notably, this release marks the return of member Ahyeon.
According to Yang Hyun Suk, the track, "Monsters (Intro)" encapsulates the group's fervent desire to transcend boundaries and make their mark on the global stage. Transitioning to the title track, "Sheesh," he describes it as a gritty hip-hop song that is much "darker" than the "healthy" number that is "Batter Up." Its infectious chorus promises to linger in the minds of listeners, accompanied by a "fun choreography."
Additionally, in a surprise announcement, the third track is "Like That," which has been gifted to BABYMONSTER by the globally renowned artist Charlie Puth.
The remaining tracks include 7-member versions of "Stuck In the Middle" and "Batter Up," as well as their pre-debut stage track "Dream" from 'Last Evaluation' and an upbeat remix of "Stuck In the Middle."
Watch the video above for a brief snippet of the intro song towards the end.
BABYMONSTER's mini album will drop on April 1 at midnight KST.
An intro ("Monsters"), two new songs ("Sheesh" and "Like That"), two re-recordings of their existing music, a recording of a song from their audition show ("Dream"), and a remix?
As usual, YG putting minimal effort into his artists. Best of luck to these girls. Hopefully they can overcome YG's incompetence and laziness.
