Dex says he wouldn't gift his girlfriend luxury goods.
In an interview by Meenoi for the 'Daily 7 - 117' YouTube channel, Meenoi asked Dex about what he would gift his girlfriend for Christmas. The interview is currently rising in real-time search rankings on media sites because of his honest response.
Meenoi asked, "What's the amount of money you'd spend on a Christmas gift for your girlfriend?" Dex asked what the gift would be, and she answered, "A Cartier watch." Dex responded in surprise, saying, "It's not like I can buy a used one for my girlfriend. I think it'd be possible if it was a good quality used one with a box and packaging. If it's grade A in good condition."
When Meenoi pressed, "What if it's 4 million Won ($3084.05 USD)," Dex said, "For Christmas? How much is a new watch if that's the used price?" He continued, "To be honest, I wouldn't if we were only dating for a year. To be clear, I'd only spend 100,000 Won ($77.10 USD). If it was 2 years, I'd spend hundreds of dollars."
Dex concluded, "If I feel like she was really my woman, I'd buy her a used watch. I don't think I could gift a new one. It doesn't make sense."

He's not wrong though, many guys spend thousands trying to impress their girlfriends and end up chasing credit bills, date within your tax bracket!
If they've been dating seriously and the girl also gives similarly priced gifts then its fine and the guys are usually expected pay for the dates and the girls would buy them drinks/ coffee anyways so it would be a bit much buying an expensive gift if they've only been seeing each other for less than a year.
