The results of actor Lee Sun Gyun's hair drug test have been revealed.
According to SBS News 8 on November 3, there were no traces of drug use in Lee Sun Gyun's hair strands that underwent testing. Police also confirmed the news, stating that 100 strands of the actor's hair were tested after obtaining a search warrant. Both marijuana and pharmaceutical drugs were not detected in the test results.
Police state the negative results could mean he did not take drugs during the past 8-10 months, but they're still moving forward with the investigation as the suspicion of drug use still stands. The police explained, "As Lee was blackmailed and handed over 350 million won ($267,431.74 USD), we cannot rule out drug use before the period of [8-10 months]."
Lawyer Ahn Ji Sung also stated, "It doesn't mean he didn't smoke cannabis because the test results are negative. There are things that could interfere with the investigation and test results, such as bleaching and dyeing hair, that also commonly happen."
The police now plan to focus on securing related evidence along with additional investigations during Lee Sun Gyun's next questioning.
As previously reported, Lee Sun Gyun has been accused of using various drugs, including marijuana, since early 2023 through connections he met as a customer of an adult entertainment establishment. He and G-Dragon have been banned from traveling outside South Korea due to their ongoing drug investigations.

It sounds like the police dropped the ball on this by releasing the names of those involved without real proof and now they’re desperately trying to find something
