Q: XODIAC is new to the scene but has already seen a number of successes. How did it feel to win the “Potential New Boy Group” award at the global Weibo Account Festival in Japan, and what are your hopes and aspirations with XODIAC as you hit the scene?

LEX: We feel very honored to win the award in such a big award ceremony before our debut. As we have won this award, we will work hard and strive to win the rookies awards in year-end award ceremonies.

Q: Likewise, how does it feel to be the first K-pop band to land four major magazine shoots, even before your official debut?

BEOMSOO: It's an honor for us to join in these famous global shootings. And to be able to try on the clothes and accessories of such famous brands, I am really thankful. We are thankful for such special experiences. In the future, XODIAC will work harder to show you more of us. Thank you!

Q: XODIAC’s fashion sense is highlighted in your press release. How would you describe your group’s overall fashion style and its significance to your image? What kind of group do you want people to know XODIAC as?

HYUNSIK: We are really thankful to be called “Fashion Idol.” I hope our fans will see us not only as fashion idols but that they will know all the members are all full of talent and skills and that we are all very likable. So we will all work hard to develop our individual and group abilities, our teamwork as well, and we will always stay humble. We would like to thank our fans for their attention and love, and we will always work hard and thrive to grow. Thank you!

Q: You’ve shared a bit on your personal style. Can you tell us more about the concept behind your debut single, “Throw A Dice,” and how it reflects your musical style?

WAIN: The concept of “Throw A Dice” is about a confident young man chasing his goals without holding back to change the set fate and finally achieve his goals. XODIAC is also not holding back and we will strive to achieve our goals. Our debut song contains a hip-hop base with glamorous rhythms and minimum sound, so you get a variety of vibes when you listen to it. It also gives a sophisticated atmosphere which gives energy to listeners.

Q: The music video for “Throw A Dice” showcases a high-stakes game and a sense of mystery among the members. Can you share any insights into the storyline and the roles each member portrays?

SING: We are playing a game to decide who is going to be the next boss, and some of us get eliminated while playing the games. In the last scene, LEX (XODIAC’s leader) had a chance to kill me, but he didn’t, so at last, he won the game and became the boss.

Q: The choreography in the music video is a testament to how hard you all work. In particular, LEX, as the group and dance leader, has an impressive background in modern dance. How does his expertise help to shape XODIAC’s overall performance and how do you approach creating your choreography?

LEX: With my experience, I try to figure out how to help the members when we dance and how to practice to create a better performance. It would be nice if I can get the opportunity to be the choreography director of our concert.

Q: Can you share any behind-the-scenes stories or challenges faced during the preparation of your performances?

LEO: When we were practicing, there were numbers written on the floor to mark our positions. But when we got on stage, there are no numbers written on the floor. It was hard for us but we were improving as we gained more experience. Our dance teacher and leader helped us a lot, so we were able to complete the performances smoothly.

Q: “Throw A Dice” combines pop and rap elements. How did you decide on this musical direction, and what do you hope to convey through your music?

GYUMIN: “Throw A Dice” is a powerful song with glamorous rhythms and minimum sound. We would like to give a powerful first impression to the listeners. XODIAC will release songs with a variety of genres in the future so please look forward to us.

Q: XODIAC recently hit the scene but is already garnering global acclaim quickly. What are you looking forward to most about the experience of traveling and meeting foreign fans for the first time? Anything you hope to do while abroad?

DAVIN: We are looking forward to showing our unique characters in various cultures of different countries and we would like to try out special foods of each country.

Q: From the perspective of a newer group, how are you handling the pressure that comes with being highly anticipated rookies?

SING: The pressure actually gives us the motivation to work harder. We will try hard to succeed in order to fulfill the fans’ expectations.

Q: As a group, what are your goals and aspirations for the future? Is there a particular milestone or achievement you’d really like to come true?

LEX: We are thankful that we are receiving a lot of support from global fans since our debut. As we are rookies, we would like to be able to give out positive vibes to the public. We hope people will be comforted and encouraged when they listen to our songs as we are receiving so much support, we will work harder to receive more love.

Q: Are there any artists or groups that have influenced or inspired XODIAC’s musical style and performance approach, or is there any song or artist that’s really been an obsession for you lately?
WAIN: XODIAC is inspired by BTS. BTS is well-known both locally and overseas and they are able to do a lot of different concepts. We would like to be able to create our own unique style as well.

Q: Can you give us a glimpse into your upcoming projects or releases? What can fans expect from Xodiac in the near future?

ZAYYAN: We have a lot of planned activities coming soon, both in Korea and overseas so please stay tuned and show a lot of support for us.
