The brief, but alarming incident which occurred on August 23 at a 'Celine' renewal event in Tokyo's Omotesandō is now making K-media headlines.
On this day, BTS member V drew a massive crowd to the streets of Omotesandō with his appearance at the 'Celine' store. Japanese fans swarmed the street in order to get a glimpse of V and capture his moving image on their phones, and V in turn responded to the enthusiasm of fans with warm fan service.
However, when V exited the shop and prepared to leave by boarding his vehicle, one fan got close enough that she could extend her hand and almost grasp at V's head. Despite the security guards doing their best to push the crowd back, a potentially dangerous incident was just narrowly avoided.
The issue has now made its way to various K-media outlet reports and Korean news, once again raising concerns over the safety of K-Pop idols from impulsive fans.
