BTS' J-Hope became the 14th special guest to appear on SUGA's 'Suchwita' and shared an in-depth talk about his solo music career.
To many people's surprise, this latest episode was actually filmed last year but was revealed this year upon J-Hope's request. J-Hope had wanted fans to relive the excitement of last year's summer when he released his first solo album and headlined Lollapalooza.
In the new episode that aired on July 19, J-Hope sat down with SUGA to talk about his solo album and revealed that he had already planned months ahead. J-Hope even revealed that he had planned to release a 1-year anniversary album special edition for 'Jack in the Box.'
He shared, "To celebrate the first anniversary of 'Jack In the Box,' (the physical album copy) is in the works." J-Hope's first solo album was a digital album that left fans disappointed as they also wanted a physical copy. Therefore, he shared that he decided to prepare something special for fans.
J-Hope explained, "In the beginning, I started out with a mixtape concept so I worked on that in January. And since the idea was to do a mixtape. I thought I'd release a Weverse album or an LP, just to commemorate the occasion. But as you said, there was a bigger need for a physical album, a full album than I expected."
SUGA agreed and shared, "It's a type of merchandise. And fans want that. It's the same with LPs." J-Hope revealed that he will release the first-anniversary album for 'Jack in the Box' this August.
