HBO Max's new series 'The Idol', produced by Sam Levinson and Abel "The Weeknd" Tesfaye, has unveiled its second official teaser.
The latest teaser for the new series centered around a rising Hollywood star features a highlight the story's lead characters, including Lily-Rose Depp, Suzanna Son, Troye Sivan, Dan Levy and more. Alongside the list of Hollywood stars is BLACKPINK's Jennie, using the name Jennie Ruby Jane.
A dark and alluring drama series following the life of a young pop star named Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) and her relationship with a mysterious cult leader, HBO Max's 'The Idol' is coming some time in the second half of 2022.

I might be wrong, but seeing the past two years of partying with Hollywood glitterati in LA and Paris, barely any (screen/ non-modeling) work in Korea (when the others had some) and now starring in this w the name Jennie Ruby Jane instead of Jennie Kim, I get the feeling that Jennie is downplaying her Korean background and aiming for the "global citizen" label
