Comedian/TV personality Park Soo Hong (52) will be appearing on the June 30 broadcast of MBC's 'True Story Expedition', approximately a year after his shocking discovery that his older brother, Park Jin Hong, had scammed him out of his entire life's earnings throughout his career.
This week's broadcast of 'True Story Expedition' will uncover the truth behind the immense scandal that made major news headlines between spring and summer of 2021. Last year, Park Soo Hong learned for the first time in his career that his older brother had stolen all of his earnings from him. Park Jin Hong, the president of Park Soo Hong's one-man agency, is suspected of having channeled 100% of Park Soo Hong's entertainment activity earnings into bank accounts created under his own name, the name of his wife, and the names of his children. Furthermore, it's also believed that Park Jin Hong and his wife enrolled Park Soo Hong in several life insurance plans, in which if Park Soo Hong dies, the older brother's family can claim significant amounts of life insurance funds.
In a teaser for this week's broadcast of 'True Story Expedition', Park Soo Hong stated during his first TV broadcast appearance in over a year, "I trusted my brother and my sister-in-law very much."
Park Soo Hong further revealed, "I just couldn't believe it. [He] said, while holding a knife, 'If anyone tries to set him up for marriage, they're dead'."
Meanwhile, in July of 2021, Park Soo Hong sued his older brother Park Jin Hong for fraud, claiming that the damages amounted to as much as 11.6 billion KRW (~ $10 million USD). Around the same time, Park Soo Hong registered his marriage with a non-celebrity fiancée, announcing that he will be starting over with a new family.

He went through a lot. To the point that a kitten became his only source of comfort and then this happened. I'm glad he found someone (along with the kitten) to genuinely support him. I hope his brother and sis-in-law are prosecuted to the full extent of the law (no "I'm sorry" leniency) and he gets back what was stolen from him. His brother and sis-in-law planned and executed the fraud for years. Decades even. Possibly even planning his death.
