On the January 30 broadcast of MBC's 'King of Mask Singer', VIVIZ member Eunha was revealed as the masked singer behind the character, 'Happy Ending'!
On this day, Eunha revealed that she decided to appear as a contestant on 'King of Mask Singer' in order to let viewers know that she will be re-debuting soon with a new group, VIVIZ. She remarked, "Many viewers may know us, SinB, Eunha, and Umji, but they may not know the name VIVIZ yet."
Here, Eunha also opened up about some of her concerns about re-debuting, and asked for some advice from her sunbae artist, Dara. She said, "This year will be my 8th year promoting as a K-Pop idol since debut. But this year, I will also re-debut in an entirely new group. During the year that we were on break, so many new teams debuted, and we have entered a new generation where some idols debuting are as young as 2007-liners. So actually, that makes VIVIZ hoobae artists to these young idols. So should we go up to them and say, 'Hello, we are your hoobae artists, VIVIZ?'. Should we address them as sunbaenim? Or will they actually feel burdened if we called them that?"
Hearing this, Dara empathized, "This is a realistic concern. I actually also debuted when I was 20-years old in The Philippines, and then re-debuted at 26-years old in Korea. At the time, many sunbae artists were younger than me. I remember that being an uncomfortable situation. I would say that even if you are re-debuting, you are still considered a sunbae artist. So... wait, what am I trying to say? I suggest that you say, 'Hello, I am former GFriend member and current VIVIZ member, Eunha. Let's get along (informal speech)', and see how they react."
Finally, Eunha assured viewers that VIVIZ will be bringing a new sound and image with their re-debut, but also equipped with professionalism and experience.
