Actor Nam Goong Min showed off his physique transformation and complete immersion into his drama character.
On the September 17 broadcast of MBC's 'I Live Alone', Nam Goong Min appeared as a guest. Here, he revealed that the reason he bulked up was in order to portray his character as an ace NIS (National Intelligence Service) agent in his upcoming drama 'The Veil'. Nam Goong Min told the show's regular cast members, "When I received role of an ace NIS agent, I started to exercise in order to look more fierce and aggressive. I wanted to look combative."
Nam Goong Min, who used to be 64kg and had a quite slim figure in the past, confessed that after bulking up he had a hard time fitting into his clothes. He stated, "My body got bigger and none of the clothes I used to wear fit me anymore. Even my pants don't fit me." Throughout the episode, Nam Goong Min was also seen putting a lot of effort into playing his role. He was seen practicing his lines with a recorded voice file of the other characters, which helped him deliver his lines more naturally. In addition, Nam Goong Min drew laughter when he suddenly got into character while eating, opening the refridgerator, and preparing his food.
