WINNER's Kang Seung Yoon made an appearance on the April 9 broadcast of KBS2's 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook'!
On this broadcast, Kang Seung Yoon performed an acoustic mix of "IYAH", the title song from his 1st full album 'Page'! Afterward, during his interview segment, the singer explained why he started writing the song, and how much meaning it has for him personally.
He said, "I started sketching this song at a time when I was feeling so repressed by the pressure of becoming an adult, and all the responsibilities that came with that. And while I was sketching out this song, my mother texted me. She scolded me as always, nagging me like she does. I got annoyed, but then some time later while working on this song, I thought to myself, 'That's right. To my mom, whether I'm in my thirties or forties, I will forever be just a child. Why am I trying to shoulder so much responsibility on my own? Am I just pressuring myself unnecessarily?'."
Did you know that the signature line in Kang Seung Yoon's "IYAH", which goes "I'm still just a kid~", was inspired by his mother?
