On January 29, HyunA returned to the stage with a series of performances on KBS2's 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook'!
On this day, HyunA reminded viewers of her domineering stage presence once again by performing her solo comeback title track "I'm Not Cool", as well as
During her interview, HyunA cautiously opened up about her vasovagal syncope, which forced her to take a hiatus from promotions last year. HyunA began, "Because of this vasovagal syncope condition, I have low blood-pressure. So sometimes, if my blood-pressure gets too low too quickly, I would have fainting spells. I opened up about my condition for the first time [last year], and actually so many people cheered me on. There were many people who empathized with me and shared that they felt the same way as I did."
She continued, "Because I love dancing on being on stage so much, I kept thinking that I was okay. I would say, 'Oh, I'm okay', but in reality, I wasn't. [During the hiatus], I tried to work out more and build my stamina, and took care of my health. Now I think I'm better, to the point where I can fight it off on my own."
Later on, HyunA also sheepishly mentioned that Dawn had also come to cheer her on without telling her, and she was touched by him being there. Check out some of HyunA's fabulous stages from this week's 'Sketchbook' below!
Every human has their own struggles wether it be health conditions and illnesses or smth else. And I'm proud of her that she opened up about her problem since it's not easy to share smth personal.
It makes us understand why she was on a hiatus and reminds us that artists are just human too and that we should treat them like how we would like to be treated and not like some manufactured performing robots or smth.
