South Korean pop music sensation Minzy, formerly of the globally popular 2NE1 group, didn’t have to look far when she decided to launch her career in the Philippines through Viva Artists Agency (VAA), Open Door Artists and South Korea’s MZ Entertainment.
Minzy’s exciting entry into Philippine entertainment kicks off with the local version of her single “Lovely,” which was originally released early this year, but was updated especially for Filipino pop audiences. The song features Minzy’s softer and natural side, a much more relaxed sound than her previous all-out pop pieces.
“Lovely” will see Minzy singing choruses in Tagalog to truly give the legit K-pop track a Pinoy feel
Poor girl, she seems like a charity case. This is too much effort to try and stay relevant. As obsessed The Philippines is with the Korean culture, I dont think this will even make a scratch, a ding even, with the general Filipino public.
If this song were to get popular in the Philippines, Minzy would most likely not be the face behind the popularity, many will make covers and make the song their own. Sorry minzy, this is a bad move. Your song will maybe get famous (30% chance), but you as an individual will get out shined.
this seems like a case where an uncle will offer you $5 if you get a score 100% on karaoke.
