If you’re a K-pop fan, you might’ve heard about several K-pops stars whose pasts are now coming back to haunt them. Yoo Young-hyun of Jannabi, a rising indie band in Korea, had to quit the band because an anonymous online source accused him of bullying. And backlash against popular K-pop idol, Hyolyn, of SISTAR, have resurfaced also for having bullied a fellow middle-school classmate. Asian Boss wanted to find out what ordinary Koreans had to say about this issue, so they hit the streets of Seoul to find out.
The opinions expressed in this video are those of individual interviewees alone and do not reflect the views of ASIAN BOSS or the general Korean population.
This is not smth we can just lightly respond with yes or no. BUT, bullying causes so much pain for the bullied. So many people who are or have been bullied in the past suffer from mental issues like anxiety, depression, self-harm, even suicide. It doesn't just stop there, families of bullied also suffer. Sadly the number of bullies who feel remorse and turn their life around is less than the number of bullies who live their lives as if they have done nothing wrong. They even continue live their lives causing pain to others because they know that the chance of getting caught bullying or getting penalty for bullying others is low.
