Netizens are furious at Japanese bystanders.
MONSTA X is currently in Japan for promotions, and Jooheon decided to show fans what he was up to by posting a short video of himself eating ramen. However, in the background, a group of Japanese men can be overheard first recognizing him (saying 'MONSTA X at 0:22), and then calling him 'josen-jin', the derogatory term for Koreans in Japanese, and then laughing about it (0:47).
All Korean netizens, whether they're MONBEBE or not, have expressed their anger. Japanese fans have also spoken up in anger, revealing how disappointed they are to hear the derogatory term spoken at all. However, they've explained that the men are not directing the derogatory term at Jooheon - they explained that it actually sounds like they were talking about North Korea's Kim Jong Un looking like a certain Japanese actress. All the same, many Japanese fans are condemning the use of the derogatory term at all, and have made it clear how sad they were at hearing the word as well.
Seemingly aware of the controversy, Jooheon has since then deleted the video, but you can still watch it above.
You can find this kind of people everywhere sadly.. So rude
