Armed with a new name and possibly a new company, HOT PLACE (previously known as BADKIZ) made their debut with the release of 'TMI' on the 29th of March.
HOT PLACE consists of the four members Jeje (Jang Somin), Hanbit (Kim Seohyun), Sihyun and Taeri. Jeje made her debut as a member of BADKIZ in 2016, while the other three girls never released any albums under the name BADKIZ, but have promoted as members of the group.
Whether or not HOT PLACE has a new company is kind of mysterious right now. The Makestar project that was opened for this album (and that's still currently running) was created by ZOO Entertainment, who also managed BADKIZ. Whereas the album 'TMI' was released by Louders Entertainment. It could be ZOO Entertainment and Louders Entertainment have partnered up to manage this group. Louders has previously partnered up with Pro Beat Company to manage rookie girl group 'GBB'. And like HOT PLACE, GBB is also considered a re-debuted group.
Sounds like the old kpop used to be... in a good way
