In order to end the program without any regrets, each of the teams chose performances and concepts that told their own, personal stories. First, the Lee Seung Hoon team sent out an emotional message to their teammates who were eliminated, to "Alive". Next, the Lia Kim team put on a thought-provoking performance in masks, using one long rubber band which bound all of the teammates together.
The Just Jerk team put on a lively performance to their own, recorded narration, plus the theme song from 'The Mask'. Kikwang's team took on a darker, fantastical mood with the theme of 'Alice In Wonderland'. Finally, the Hoya team danced to a special track composed by coach Hoya himself, exclusively for this final round performance, titled "Now You Can Cry". [SPOILERS AHEAD]
At the end of the Hoya team's performance, the 6 teammates received endless praise from all of the judges including J-Black, Wanna One's Park Woo Jin, and more. J-Black said, "While watching this piece, I thought, 'As expected from Hoya'. I need to point out some faults, but I don't know where to find those faults. You all did so well. I enjoyed watching immensely."
Park Woo Jin similarly praised Hoya's self-composed track, as well as the team's teamwork and ability to express their unified emotions. Watching from backstage and listening to the judges' comments, coach Hoya began shedding tears, overcome with emotions. In the end, the Hoya team received the highest score from the 5 judges.
However, the winning team is determined by combining the score averaged from the 5 judges with the averaged score from the audience. When all of the scores including scores from the audience were tallied, the ultimate, 1st place of the final round went to - the Just Jerk team!
All of the winning team members of the Just Jerk team will be earning a chance to study dance abroad in Los Angeles, California, with all expenses paid. Congratulations to the winners and all the contestants for a fierce competition!
Can HOYA please release the MP3 version of his amazing piece? :)
