1. Suseong Lake: A great place to go, especially within the spring season when all the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, Suseongmot Lake is a large man-made lake in the region of Dusan-dong, Daegu. Created as a reservoir to store water for agricultural use, it's now evolved into a popular walking trail. They even have a musical water foundation show, too.
2. Jinju: You'll find all things traditional here; known for their creativity, Jinju is well known for holding over 10 art and crafts festivals every year from the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival, Jinju Mask Dance and Drama Festival and Jinju Silk Fair. Although it's a small region within the country, it's full of culture. Just be careful not to confuse Jinju with Jeonju!
3. Mudeungsan National Park: Located in Gwangju, this park is full of beautiful scenery from mountains, forests, waterfalls, old temples, and paths to make your journey through the mountain easier. Mudeungsan is a great place to view more of Korea's nature.
4. Sanjeong Lake: An inland city in the region of Gyeonggi province, Pocheon holds a lake inside the dips and valleys of mountains. With a wooden path guiding your way all around the valley. The peace and quiet that this place offers makes it feel as though you've been thrust into a whole different world.
5. Daejeon O-World: While Seoul has Everland and Lotte World, Daegu has E-World; Daejeon actually has its own amusement park as well called Daejeon O-World. Consisting of three main sections called Zoo Land, Joy Land, and Flower Land, Daejeon O-World is a great play for a day of fun.
6. Imsil Cheese Theme Park: No, it's not a mistake; you've read that correctly: a theme park centered on cheese. This park is a full 32 acres of all things cheese, from learning about it to making it and, of course, eating the delightful treat. This is a great place to visit that not many people know about.
