Police have also found that two of Mr. 'A's' fellow workers, 26-year-old person 'B' as well as a 26-year-old Ms. 'C', were involved.

From March 2013 to May of this year, Mr. 'A' physically abused his employee, a 29-year-old male known as 'D', by taking a baseball bat to 'D's' back. 'D' would get punished whenever he would make a mistake at work, or other such reasons of querulous acts. At one point 'D' was admitted to the hospital, where he stayed for 6 weeks to undergo surgery for his injuries. When Mr. 'A' judged it difficult to further beat 'D' because of his injuries, he would tie 'D's' hands and cover his face with a plastic bag. On 40 occasions he pepper sprayed 'D's face while on 10 occasions he force fed 'D' his own urine and feces.
To add insult to injury, Mr. 'A' did not even pay 'D' the required minimum wage and refused to even pay 'D' his most recent wages. "Mr. 'A' exploited 'D's' wages and didn't let him even sleep at night, turning him into a victim of this form of modern-day slavery," said the police.
In a KakaoTalk chatroom, Mr. 'A' would send messages such as, "Today I slapped [him]" to 'B' about the assault. He would also use his cellphone to reveal his real-time actions to the Afreeca TV internet broadcast.
When initially question about the ongoing incidents of abuse and assault, Mr. 'A' denied the claims. However, when presented with evidence, he changed his story, saying, "I did wrong. I ask for leniency." He then made a deposit of 100 million KRW (~$88,000 USD) at the courthouse.
The victim himself remained traumatized after the experience. "I considered committing suicide several times... I can only leave my house to throw out my trash," he said of the aftermath of his horrifying experience.
In addition to this shocking case of harassment and abuse, Mr. 'A' is under investigation for submitting false invoices to the Ministry of Education, fraud, and embezzlement of 100 million KRW (~$88,000 USD) from corporate funds.
