Cha Eun Woo’s younger brother, researcher Lee Dong Hwi, is garnering attention after appearing on stage as an artificial intelligence (AI) specialist at a related expo.
On November 16, YouTube channel 'Sebasi Talk' uploaded a video titled “The Researcher Making Headlines at Korea AI Summit,” introducing Lee Dong Hwi from Unbound Lab Dev.
Earlier, on November 10, Lee Dong Hwi delivered a lecture at an event held at COEX in Seoul under the title, “AI Made for My Brother Evolves into a Brand Verification Tool.”
In a pre-event interview, he explained, “Having lived a life close to celebrities, I naturally focused on their concerns and interests. They are always thinking about how to communicate better with their fans.”
He added, “Not only individual celebrities but also entertainment companies and brands worry a lot about feedback from this kind of data. I thought it would be useful to develop a solution to collect and organize this data, which led me to plan this system.”
Lee Dong Hwi also addressed the challenges celebrities face online, saying, “Celebrities inevitably endure a lot of pain from malicious comments. While constructive feedback is important for growth, there’s so much media exposure that the excessive negative comments are overwhelming.”
He continued, “In the era of individual influencers, media exposure is immense. Since so many people pay attention, we are planning a system with our CEO to help protect those exposed in the public eye.”
After graduating from Fudan University in China, Lee Dong Hwi worked at a prominent advertising agency before joining Unbound Lab.
He briefly appeared—about five seconds—on tvN’s 'You Quiz on the Block' in June, catching viewers’ attention. His connection as Cha Eun Woo’s younger brother was later revealed, further increasing public interest.
