Netflix has confirmed the global premiere date for the highly anticipated series 'Genie, Make A Wish,' which is the long-awaited reunion project with Suzy and Kim Woo Bin.
'Genie, Make A Wish' tells the story of Genie (Kim Woo Bin), a lamp spirit who awakens after a thousand years, and Ga Young (Suzy), a woman who has seemingly shut away her emotions. Bound together by three wishes, the two embark on a magical yet unpredictable journey that blends romance, comedy, and fantasy.
On August 20, Netflix unveiled the official poster and short teaser clip featuring the two lead actors, which has been gaining immense attention on various online communities. Many expressed confusion over the concept, with some unsure if the visuals were meant to be funny or serious.

They commented:
"Did they do this on purpose?"
"I don’t get the concept... Are they seriously trying to be funny?"
"Seriously…?"
"What is this…?"
"Is the genre comedy?"
"Curious. I can’t even guess how it will be, so it makes me more curious."
"Is this like a 'B Movie' concept they're going for?"
"It feels different from what I imagined, so I’m actually more curious."
"Eh..."
"This feels like a live-action remake of an anime. lol."
"Is this the best they could do…?"
"Oh, this will be fun."
"Feels like when animations are poorly adapted into live-action? Are they releasing a new Curry King product?"
"I want to watch more after the teaser. lol."
"Hope it’s super fun."
"Hmm… is this the best?"
"Not the genre I imagined?"
"Reminds me of that webtoon where the heroine travels to ancient Egypt. lol."
"Feels like a flop already..."
"This was the drama I expected most this year, a bit embarrassing, but hope it was cast well..."
"No, this is too much;;; Why is the quality like this, the video is weird too..."
