Actor Uhm Tae Woong is set to make his long-awaited return to the big screen with the upcoming film 'The Last Assignment,' nearly nine years after stepping away from the spotlight following a 2016 prostitution scandal.
Scheduled for release in August, 'The Last Assignment' is a heartwarming drama that tells the story of a temporary homeroom teacher and the children he encounters. The film marks Uhm’s official comeback and has already drawn significant attention from the public and media.

Reflecting on his return, Uhm shared, “This project is especially meaningful to me as it’s been a long time since I participated in a film. I felt a sense of warmth as soon as I read the script.”
Directed by Lee Jung Chul, known for 'Hearty Paws 2' and 'Family,' the film also reunites Uhm with the director after their previous collaboration on Family. “We’ve known each other since I was a rookie,” Uhm said. “Director Lee is someone I trust deeply because of his unwavering dedication.”
The film also features a strong ensemble cast, including veteran actors Park Sang Myun, Jun Soo Kyung, and Yoon Hyun Sook. INFINITE’s Lee Sungjong makes a special appearance, while rising stars Hong Jung Min, Lee Jae Jun, and KIIRAS member Doyeon round out the cast, adding freshness and energy to the story.
