
As the 21st presidential election takes place on June 3rd KST, numerous Korean celebrities are joining in, sharing photos of themselves at polling stations and encouraging the public to cast their votes.
Voting runs from 6 AM to 8 PM at 14,295 polling stations nationwide. Since this is a by-election, the voting hours have been extended by two hours compared to regular elections.
Model and actress Byun Jung Soo posted a photo with her family at the polling station, writing, “Did you vote yet? Get up and vote first—don’t skip it just because it’s a hassle!”
Singer IU wrote on her fan platform, “Good morning, today is election day. Don’t forget your precious vote.”
Kim Yoon Ah of Jaurim also posted a photo taken at the Cheongdam-dong early voting center, saying, “Let’s vote, then hop on Instagram.”
Singer Lee Eun Mi uploaded a photo with the caption, “Barefoot and vote complete.”
Actress Park Bo Young shared a proof photo of her completed vote, drawing attention online. Comedian Park Sung Kwang tagged a voter encouragement post and wrote, “Now, who should I vote for?” Actress Moon Jung Hee also joined in, saying, “I went to vote today! Let’s all vote and build a great country together. Love you, Korea.”
Wooyoung, Seonghwa, and Hongjoong of boy group ATEEZ each posted photos confirming their votes via Instagram Stories.
Ko Young Bae of the band Soran uploaded a photo in front of a polling station with his children, writing, “Let’s go, Korea!”
