TVING’s hit original 'Shark: The Storm' is making a powerful comeback with more action, deeper storytelling, and a heightened sense of scale. The six-episode series is set to premiere on May 15, and a new teaser poster has just been released, offering a glimpse of the intense showdown between Kim Min Suk and Lee Hyun Wook.
First introduced in 2021 as TVING’s first original film based on a legendary action webtoon, 'Shark: The Storm' made waves with its raw energy and gripping narrative. Now, after four years, it returns as a series that promises to deliver even more excitement and emotional impact.
At the heart of the story is Chae Woo Sol, played by Kim Min Suk. After serving time in prison, Woo Sol is focused on turning his life around and pursuing his dream of becoming a professional MMA fighter. Just as he begins to rebuild, his path collides with that of Hyun Woo Yong, a fearsome villain played by Lee Hyun Wook. Their meeting sets the stage for a fierce and unpredictable battle.
The new poster captures the rising tension between the two characters. Despite the scars on his face, Woo Sol’s piercing gaze reflects his unbreakable will. The tagline, “Keep fighting, like a shark that never stops moving,” hints at the relentless struggle ahead. Opposite him, Hyun Woo Yong's cold and calculating stare creates a chilling atmosphere. The line, “Woo Sol, this is destiny,” adds to the sense of looming danger and inevitability.
Kim Min Suk, who previously impressed viewers with his performance as Woo Sol, returns with an even more refined and powerful portrayal. His character’s journey from survival to self-discovery brings new depth to the story. Viewers can look forward to upgraded action scenes and emotional growth.
Lee Hyun Wook also makes a strong impression with his portrayal of Hyun Woo Yong. As the head of a violent criminal organization and a martial arts association, Hyun Woo Yong is known for running brutal underground fight leagues. Lee brings a complex intensity to the character, combining charisma with cruelty.
Fans are especially looking forward to the action scenes between the two leads. The chemistry between Kim Min Suk and Lee Hyun Wook is expected to bring out the best of the series, delivering unforgettable fight sequences and dramatic tension.
All episodes of 'Shark: The Storm' will be released exclusively on TVING on May 15. The storm is about to begin.
