Jang Woo Hyuk, who recently joined Channel A’s These Days Men’s Life – Groom Class (hereafter Groom Class) as a freshman, will reveal his personally designed home and his unexpectedly frugal lifestyle in the show’s 156th episode, airing on the 26th.
On this day’s broadcast, Jang Woo Hyuk is warmly welcomed by the studio’s mentor group. His nature-friendly home, where he lives among nearly 60 types of plants, instantly grabs attention. The mentors react with amazement, commenting, “It’s so beautiful,” and “I thought it was a botanical garden.” Jang Woo Hyuk expresses his deep affection for the space, saying, “I personally designed the interior and oversaw every part of the construction.”
His eco-conscious and frugal habits also shine through. While washing his face, he’s seen cutting open the back of a nearly empty toothpaste tube, flattening it, and placing it inside the washing machine drum. The mentors are shocked—Jang Woo Hyuk was using the last bit of toothpaste as a cleaner for his washing machine. His thrifty tricks and money-saving habits continue throughout the episode.
Later, Kim Il Woo comments on the building where Jang Woo Hyuk’s home is located, revealing, “Jang Woo Hyuk is actually the owner of this building. There used to be a skincare shop I went to here.” Embarrassed but honest, Jang Woo Hyuk explains, “I’ve kept a household ledger since I was young,” sharing how his frugality has been a lifelong habit.
However, Kim Jong Min, observing Woo Hyuk’s routine, expresses concern: “He’s a bit too serious. If he keeps living like that, there won’t be room for a girlfriend” he offers sincere advice.

In a somewhat lonely moment, Jang Woo Hyuk is seen eating breakfast alone. Then, he gets a phone call from his mother, who jokingly pressures him to get married. She says, “Your nephew, who was born when H.O.T. released its first album, is getting married. Didn’t you say you’d take care of everything back then? What about matchmaking?” When Jang Woo Hyuk asks if there’s a place that can match him, she replies, “I gave up,” before firmly saying, “I’ll wait. Just get married.” Jang promises, “I’ll definitely bring [the bride] home,” raising anticipation about whether he will truly find love.
