On March 5th, the press conference for the Netflix original series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' was held at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul. The event featured director Kim Won Seok, along with the cast members IU, Park Bo Gum, Moon So Ri, and Park Hae Joon.
During the conference, IU shared the reason behind her decision to join the show, saying, “This is my second project with director Kim Won Seok, and I’ve been a huge fan of writer Lim Sang Chun. As soon as I received the offer, I couldn’t wait to dive in before even reading the script. After reading it, I just had to do it. I couldn’t resist. Less than a day after reading, I immediately told them I wanted to be part of it.”
Park Bo Gum also spoke about his involvement, saying, "I’ve always been a fan of writer Lim Sang Chun. After finishing my military service, I was offered this project. I was excited to work with director Won Seok, who has a delicate and thoughtful approach to direction. When I read the script, I found the story of Ae Sun and her four seasons to be so beautiful. I believe this will be a work I’ll be proud of in the future when I watch it with my family. I’m sure the fans will love it too."

'When Life Gives You Tangerines' is a Netflix series that portrays the adventurous life of Ae Sun, a rebellious young woman from Jeju Island, and her relationship with the sturdy, lovable Kwan Sik.
The series will span four seasons, with 16 episodes released over four weeks, starting with its first release on Netflix on March 7th.
