Disney+ Korea has announced its decision to postpone the release of the original series 'Knock Off', starring Kim Soo Hyun and Jo Bo Ah.
A representative of Disney+ Korea told media outlets on March 21 KST, "After much contemplation, it has been decided that the release of 'Knock Off' will be postponed."
Initially, 'Knock Off' was scheduled for release some time in 2025. As the production was quite near completion, some suspected that it would release as early as April of this year.
However, following the recent accusations raised against Kim Soo Hyun claiming that he dated the late actress Kim Sae Ron while she was still a minor, Kim Soo Hyun has been at the center of severe public scrutiny. Both domestic and overseas retailers have begun removing Kim Soo Hyun's promotional materials and campaigns from their stores and platforms.
Many netizens have been demanding that Kim Soo Hyun pull out of 'Knock Off' altogether and pay all penalties associated with the breach of contract. The streaming platform's latest decision to merely "postpone" the drama's release is also being met with harsh criticism.
