Park Bo Gum to host ‘The Seasons: Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile’ as new music show MC.

Actor Park Bo Gum is set to take on a new role as the host of KBS-2TV’s late-night music talk show ‘The Seasons’. This marks his first time leading a regular music program, following his previous experience as an MC for ‘Music Bank’, as well as major award ceremonies such as the Baeksang Arts Awards and MAMA.

‘The Seasons’ is a rotating host format music program that has been running since February 2023, beginning with ‘Jay Park’s Drive’. Since then, it has featured a variety of hosts, including Choi Jung Hoon, AKMU, Lee Hyori, Zico, and Lee Young Ji, each bringing their own distinct energy to the show.

Park Bo Gum will helm the seventh season, titled ‘The Seasons: Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile’. The name, derived from the Italian musical term ‘cantabile’, meaning ‘in a singing style’, was personally suggested by Park himself. Notably, it also harkens back to his role in the 2014 KBS-2TV music drama ‘Tomorrow’s Cantabile’, further emphasizing his deep connection to music.

Park Bo Gum has consistently demonstrated his love for music throughout his career, participating in various OSTs and showcasing his singing and piano-playing talents on programs like ‘You Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook’ and ‘The Seasons: Zico’s Artist’. In a recently released teaser for the upcoming season, he once again impressed fans by playing the pianoand performing a dance routine.

While Park Bo Gum is already well-regarded for his charismatic hosting skills, his transition into a full-fledged music talk show MC has generated significant buzz. Given his childhood dream of becoming a singer, industry insiders reveal that he is preparing with exceptional enthusiasm for his first recording.

‘The Seasons: Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile’ is set to premiere on March 14 at 10 PM KST on KBS-2TV. Fans are eager to see how Park’s warm personality, musical sensibility, and hosting prowess will shape the latest season of the acclaimed series.
