EXID member Hani is set to return to television.
On the 26th, KBS2’s Immortal Songs confirmed to Xports News, "It is true that Baby V.O.X. will be featured as a legendary artist, and EXID will perform as a full group on the competition stage."
Baby V.O.X. previously reunited for the first time in 14 years at the KBS Song Festival last year, creating a buzz. Since then, all five members have appeared on MBC’s Point of Omniscient Interfere, and Yoon Eun Hye was selected as an MC for the 2024 MBC Entertainment Awards, enjoying a resurgence in popularity.
Now, EXID is also set to take the stage as a complete group. Hani’s return to broadcasting is drawing particular attention, as she had been on a hiatus following the controversy surrounding the death of a patient at the hospital run by her fiancé, psychiatrist Yang Jae Woong.
The incident involved a woman in her 30s, Ms. A, who passed away at a psychiatric hospital where Yang Jae Woong served as the director. Following the tragedy, public criticism intensified when Hani and Yang announced their engagement shortly after, leading them to postpone their wedding, which had been planned for September last year.
In July, an exclusive report by Xports News revealed that Hani had initially been set to join JTBC4’s new variety show Review Necut as an MC but voluntarily stepped down. Since then, she has halted her entertainment activities, including social media, making only occasional appearances on her fellow EXID members’ posts.
As Immortal Songs marks her first official return to domestic television, all eyes are on Hani’s comeback and EXID’s highly anticipated performance.
Meanwhile, Immortal Songs, featuring Baby V.O.X. as a legendary artist, is set to air in March.
