Song Hye Kyo revealed her home for the first time.
On January 16, Song Hye Kyo's close friend singer Kang Min Kyung released a video titled "Part 2! A Vlog of Song Hye Kyo, Not Me" on her YouTube channel 'Kyang Ming Kyung.'
The video thumbnail featured Song Hye Kyo and Kang Min Kyung together, with the caption "A Night at Hye Kyo Unnie’s House," which immediately garnered attention.
In the video, Song Hye Kyo and Kang Min Kyung enjoyed a dinner out before heading to Song Hye Kyo’s home.
Located in Samseong-dong, Seoul, Song Hye Kyo’s residence stood out with its warm lighting and minimalist interior. The two were greeted by Ruby, Song’s 5-year-old pet dog. Song Hye Kyo was visibly delighted as she held Ruby in her arms.
The pair spent time in the dining room, sharing drinks and heartfelt conversations.
Every corner of the home reflected Song Hye Kyo’s sophisticated taste, with even the bathroom meticulously designed to fit Song Hye Kyo's taste. Her bedroom was also briefly shown, showcasing white bedding and a wooden side table.
The following morning, Kang Min Kyung was seen descending the stairs and meeting Ruby. Ruby’s living area was well-organized, featuring polished wooden floors, a spacious yard, and a clean carpet. Even Ruby’s food and water dishes were made of white porcelain.
Over breakfast, the two chatted about recovering from their hangover.
When Kang Min Kyung asked about Song Hye Kyo’s unique morning routine as an actress, Song Hye Kyo humorously replied, “I don’t have one—it’s always (eating) rice for me.” Kang Min Kyung jokingly added, “Hye Kyo Unnie’s morning routine is rice and coffee.”
Song Hye Kyo mentioned that she prioritizes homemade meals when she needs to maintain her health, though she admitted to using food delivery apps for convenience. The two shared a laugh as they ordered naengmyeon (cold noodles), skipping boiled pork as a side dish.
Song Hye Kyo’s current home in Samseong-dong is a detached residence spanning a basement and two above-ground floors. It boasts a total building area of 690 ㎡ (209 pyeong) and a land area of 581.6 ㎡ (176 pyeong).
The property was purchased in 2015 from Kang Jung Seok, chairman of Dong-A Socio Holdings, for 9.15 billion KRW (6.3 million USD). It underwent demolition and reconstruction before being completed. Notably, privacy was prioritized with the addition of higher fences and an expansion of over 60 pyeong (198.3 ㎡) to the home’s total area.
