Seventeen member Jun will appear in the Chinese film 'The shadow’s edge', working alongside global stars like Jackie Chan and Tony Leung Ka-fai.
According to Pledis Entertainment on the 19th, Jun has been cast as 'Hu Feng', a key member of the villainous group, in 'The shadow’s edge', which is set to release later this year. The movie is a crime thriller that depicts the fierce conflict between a notorious criminal organization and the police pursuing them. Legendary action star Jackie Chan takes on the role of a veteran detective, while Tony Leung Ka-fai portrays Hu Feng’s adoptive father and the film’s main antagonist. The film is directed by Larry Yang, known for his 2015 film 'Mountain cry', which was the closing film of the Busan International Film Festival.
The agency shared, “Jun will play a villain and showcase stunning action scenes in the film. Having trained in martial arts during his childhood, fans are eagerly anticipating the action he will deliver on screen.”
Jun made his acting debut in the 2006 film 'The pye-dog', which earned him the Best New Actor award from the Hong Kong Directors’ Guild the following year. He was also the first Chinese child actor to be nominated for Best New Performer at the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards. In 2023, he starred in the youth romance drama 'Exclusive fairy tale', earning the Popularity Award at the Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards held during the Busan International Film Festival. He also expanded his range with the fantasy comedy period drama 'The stars are shining'.
