Nana shared that she has been removing most of her tattoos, except for one dedicated to her mother.
In a video titled "Q&A" uploaded on January 24 to her YouTube channel ‘NA( )NA’, she answered fans' questions and discussed her tattoo removal process.
“I think I’ve had over 30 sessions, splitting the tattoos into different areas. I’m still in the process, and I’m not sure how many more sessions I’ll need, but they’ve faded significantly to the point where I no longer need to cover them up” she said.
When asked if tattoo removal was painful, Nana explained, “I’ve posted videos of the process on my channel, and I can tell you that removing tattoos is much more painful than getting them. I recommend thinking carefully before getting one and, if you must, choose a thin and shallow tattoo if you plan to remove it later.”
Nana also mentioned that she has no regrets about removing her tattoos. “At the time, getting tattoos was my way of healing, so I don’t regret removing them now” she said. However, she revealed that she decided to keep one tattoo on her right ankle that reads ‘1968’. “That tattoo reminds me of my mother, and I want to keep it”, Nana explained.
Nana first garnered attention in 2022 at a press conference for the movie Confession, where she appeared with tattoos covering her body from her collarbone to her feet. In August 2023, she revealed on a talk show that she began removing her tattoos at her mother’s gentle request, explaining that she got them during a difficult time in her life.
