Gil, formerly of Leessang, shared the news of his upcoming surgery, prompting concern from fans.
On January 21st, Gil posted on his social media:
“Latest trend loose fit #hospital #surgery #nothingserious #nervous #pray” along with a photo of himself in a hospital setting. He added, “Let’s do this,” revealing that his surgery is scheduled for January 22nd KST.
In the photo, Gil is seen in a private hospital room, preparing for the procedure. With an IV attached to his arm and undergoing fasting, including water, the image left fans feeling worried about his condition.
Gil faced significant setbacks in his career due to three DUI incidents in 2004, 2014, and 2017, which led to a hiatus from broadcast activities. However, he has recently begun reconnecting with the public through his personal YouTube channel, engaging with fans once more.
