Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin share heartfelt stories on ‘You Quiz on the Block’

On January 15th KST, a teaser video featuring IVE members Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin on ‘You Quiz on the Block’ was uploaded to the ‘You Quiz on the Tube’ YouTube channel.

During their appearance, the two idols opened up about their honest thoughts, from unconventional methods to lower their weight as trainees to the pressure of public scrutiny, resonating deeply with viewers.

Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin reflected on their trainee days, sharing amusing yet telling anecdotes. Jang Wonyoung recounted, “We’d hear things like, ‘If someone lifts your toes a bit, the weight on the scale will show less,’” which drew laughter. Ahn Yujin added, “We even tried lifting our hair or adjusting our posture—methods with no scientific basis.” Their lighthearted recollections showcased the intense effort and camaraderie among trainees.

However, they also candidly discussed the challenges of life in the spotlight. Ahn Yujin likened her career to being under constant evaluation, saying, “If I think of this as a job, it feels like being assessed 24/7. Even in the early hours, I sometimes catch myself wondering how fans and the public perceive me.”

Jang Wonyoung shared similar sentiments, revealing, “It’s frightening and worrisome when people judge me based on short clips without truly knowing me.” Their confessions highlighted the pressures and insecurities that often accompany fame.
