The idol recently posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram, bringing attention to the current tragedy and expressing her sympathy and pain for those affected. Jennie also included a link to a list of resources for victims of the fires.
The devastating LA wildfires have been ongoing for days now, destroying thousands of buildings, killing at least eleven people, and forcing tens of thousands of people to evacuate their homes. With economic damage currently exceeding 60 billion dollars, the fire may end up being recorded as the worst wildfire in US history.
In addition to Jennie’s statement of support, other Korean entertainment stars have also spoken out about the situation. Actress Lee Min Jung made a post encouraging followers to “Pray for LA,” while actress Ko So Young joined in to express her hopes that the fires not spread any further.
