Actor Um Tae Goo, who is confirmed to appear in 'Wild Thing', will join the movie (tentative title) and star alongside Kang Dong Won and Lim Ji Yeon.

According to OSEN’s report on the 3rd, actor Um Tae Goo received an offer for a role in the upcoming film 'Wild Thing' and has responded positively.

'Wild Thing' tells the story of the three-member mixed group "Triangle," which enjoyed success but faded from the public eye due to an unfortunate incident. The group later reunites, navigating various challenges and ups and downs. Directed by Son Jae Gon, known for 'Sweet, Savage Lover' (2006), 'The Villain on the Second Floor' (2010), and 'Unharmed' (2020), the film will be produced by About Film, the company behind the blockbuster 'Extreme Job' (2019), which drew 16 million viewers and ranks as the second-highest-grossing Korean film of all time.

Um Tae Goo will portray a member of the mixed group "Triangle," alongside Kang Dong Won and Lim Ji Yeon. Anticipation is high for the unique chemistry this trio will bring to the screen with such an intriguing casting combination. 

Since his debut in the 2007 film 'Gidam', Um Tae Goo has consistently built his career with supporting roles in independent and short films during his early, lesser-known days. His strong and rugged charm left a lasting impression on audiences in the 2017 hit film 'A Taxi Driver' and the drama 'Save Me Season 2', following his notable appearance in 'Secret Agent'.

Notably, Um Tae Goo demonstrated his versatility in the drama 'Playful Woman', where he showcased his comedic talent. He portrayed Seo Ji Hwan, a children’s creator who falls for Go Eun Ha, a woman with a mission to inspire children with hope and sunshine-like energy. This lovable, cheerful role marked a significant departure from his previous intense characters and garnered praise from viewers for his transformative performance.

In addition to 'Wild Thing', Um Tae Goo is also set to make waves in the eight-episode Disney+ original series 'Lighting Store', premiering on the 4th. With this latest project teaming him up with Kang Dong Won and Lim Ji Yeon, fans are eagerly awaiting to see what kind of performance he will deliver in 'Wild Thing'.

Meanwhile, 'Wild Thing' is scheduled to begin filming next year.
