On December 2nd, SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny' introduced rapper Sleepy and his wife as the latest couple to join the show.
Kim Gura humorously introduced Sleepy as "Korea’s representative broke celebrity," prompting laughter from the audience. Sleepy expressed his excitement about joining the show, stating that he had always wanted to appear on it.
Sleepy also revealed, "This is the first time my wife's face has been shown on TV." He explained, "She felt overwhelmed by the idea of appearing on television, so it took me three years to convince her."
During the episode, Sleepy reminisced about collaborating on the World Cup version of Yoon Soo Il’s song 'Apartment' in 2002. However, he shocked viewers by disclosing that his credit on the track was misspelled as "Intertouchable" instead of "Untouchable," making it unsearchable on music platforms. He added, "Because of this mistake, I couldn’t claim any royalties." Another credit error later labeled him as "Uncable," with the "H" omitted, again depriving him of royalties.
Reflecting on his career, Sleepy commented, "One of Untouchable's hit songs is 'I'll Give You Everything,' but since the chorus was done by a featured artist, people don’t recognize my part." He also shared memories from his variety show appearances, including his virtual marriage to Lee Guk Joo and his rise to fame as "Slombie" in military-themed entertainment, which earned him the Best Newcomer Award at the Entertainment Awards.
Sleepy also opened up about the challenges he faced, particularly financial struggles due to his agency withholding payments. He revealed, "For 10 years, I didn’t receive any settlement payments—not even 100 won. To expose this and fight back, I personally visited media outlets to share my struggles."
