SHINee Taemin's official YouTube channel shut down due to hacking

SHINee member Taemin’s official YouTube channel has been shut down following a hacking incident.

On December 16, Taemin’s agency, Big Planet Made, announced, “At around 3 AM on December 15, we detected another sign of hacking on the official YouTube channel of our artist Taemin.”

The agency explained, “After recognizing the hacking attempt, we immediately took action to restore the channel and complete the necessary measures. Later that morning, we reported the suspected hacking account and submitted related evidence to YouTube.”

However, despite these efforts, the agency stated, “On December 16, at around 1 PM, YouTube informed us that the channel had been deleted due to a violation of its community guidelines. As of now, the channel is closed.”

Big Planet Made issued an apology, saying, “Despite our thorough security measures, including the use of complex passwords, two-factor authentication, and strict security protocols, an unexpected situation occurred. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern this has caused fans.”

The agency is currently in discussions with YouTube to find a solution, stating, “We are working closely with YouTube to provide a clear explanation of the facts and are doing our utmost to restore the channel as quickly as possible.”

Finally, Big Planet Made emphasized that strong legal action will be taken. The agency stated, “Given that repeated hacking attempts have been made on Taemin's YouTube channel, we will file a report with the police and pursue strong legal action.”

Meanwhile, Taemin's channel had been hacked previously back in September when the hacker replaced the channel's logo with the Tesla logo, replacing all videos with Tesla videos. With this latest hacking incident shutting down the artist's page, fans are eagerly awaiting updates on the situation as the agency works to recover the channel and prevent future incidents.

This is Big Planet Made.

At around 3 AM on December 15, we detected another hacking attempt on the official YouTube channel of our artist, Taemin. After recognizing the hacking attempt, we immediately took action to restore the channel and complete the necessary measures. On the morning of December 15, we also reported the suspected hacking account and submitted related evidence to YouTube.

However, on December 16 at approximately 1 PM, YouTube notified us that the channel had been deleted due to a violation of its community guidelines. As of now, the channel remains shut down.

We implemented strict security measures, including complex passwords, two-factor authentication, and rigorous security protocols. Despite these efforts, this unexpected situation occurred, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern it has caused fans.

We are currently in discussions with YouTube to find a swift resolution. Both sides are working closely to clarify the facts, and we will do our utmost to restore the channel as quickly as possible.

Additionally, given that repeated hacking attempts have been made on Taemin's YouTube channel, we will take strong legal action, including filing a report with the police.
