Actor Park Sung Hoon, known for his versatile roles, has joined the cast of the upcoming drama 'The Tyrant's Chef.'
The drama, which has garnered attention for featuring Girls' Generation member and actress Im Yoon Ah and acclaimed director Jang Tae Yoo, tells the story of a chef who time-slips to the past at the height of his career and encounters a king who is both the worst tyrant and the greatest gourmet.
According to a report by Hankyung.com on December 2nd, Park Sung Hoon will portray the king who oscillates between his roles as a tyrant and a gourmet in 'The Tyrant's Chef.' The collaboration between Park Sung Hoon, Im Yoon Ah, and director Jang Tae Yoo—who has a track record of producing unstoppable box office hits—has heightened expectations for the drama.
Director Jang Tae Yoo, known for creating a sensation with SBS dramas like 'Painter of the Wind,' 'Deep-Rooted Tree,' and 'My Love from the Star,' has also demonstrated his expertise in historical dramas, most recently with MBC's 'Flowers That Bloom at Night,' which concluded in February this year. His involvement in 'The Tyrant's Chef' is generating significant attention.
Meanwhile, 'The Tyrant's Chef' is currently being discussed for a potential broadcast on tvN next year.
