NewJeans' song 'How Sweet' has won the Best Performance award at the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) 2024.
The '9th Asia Artist Awards' took place on the afternoon of December 27th at the IMPACT Challenger Hall 1-2 in Bangkok, Thailand. The event was hosted by Ryu Joon Yeol, Wonyoung, and Sung Han Bin.
The Best Performance award of the night went to NewJeans' 'How Sweet'. During their acceptance speech, NewJeans expressed their joy, saying, "We are truly thrilled to receive this award, especially because it's one we really wanted to give to our performance directors (PDs). They've always put so much thought into creating unique stage setups for every performance, and thanks to their hard work and our members' efforts to deliver amazing stages, we're overjoyed to accept this award. We'd also like to extend our gratitude to our dancers."
They continued, "We are deeply grateful to CEO Min Hee Jin and were touched to see so many Bunnies (our fan club) waving their Binky Bongs. When we first debuted, we received the Best Performance award, and now to receive it again is such an honor. We think this is the award our members love the most, so we're incredibly happy. Performance is not only about dance but also the comfortable and stylish outfits that enhance it. We're thankful to the staff for providing us with incredible costumes that make our stages shine."
Their heartfelt remarks conveyed their appreciation for everyone who contributed to their success.
